Enabling Technologies for the Future
of Wireless Communications

  • Jean-Baptiste Doré obtained his Master's degree in 2004 from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) Rennes and his PhD in 2007 from university of Rennes. His PhD work with France Telecom R&D (Orange Labs) focused on the joint code design and decoding architecture for LDPC codes.

  • He started working  as a signal processing architect for the home business unit at NXP semiconductors in Caen.  He was in charge of studying and designing signal processing algorithms for DVB-T / DVB-T2 products.

  • In 2009, he joined CEA-Leti in Grenoble as a research engineer. His main research topics are signal processing, hardware architecture optimizations, and PHY and MAC layers for wireless networks. Jean-Baptiste was involved in many projects as a wireless system architect and led the design of prototype platforms (5G, mmWave).

  • Since 2019, Jean-Baptiste has been leading a cross disciplinary  program at LETI  dedicated to wireless technology and linking semi-conductor technologies, RF circuits and antenna design as well as innovative system definition for beyond 5G.

  • Jean-Baptiste has published more than 90 scientific papers, is the main inventor for 30 patents, and has also been involved in the standardization group IEEE1900.7. He received 3 best paper awards (IEEE ICC 2017, IEEE WPCN 2018 and Eurasip journal 2019).
