Fabrice Guellec

Head of Smart Integrated Circuits for Imaging Lab - CEA-Leti

Toward deep electronics and photonics integration

  • Fabrice Guellec received the French Engineering degree in electronics in 1998 from Grenoble INP Institute of Technology, Univ. Grenoble Alpes, France.
He first joined Atmel, where he was involved in the design of data converters. From 2000 to 2003, he was with Infineon Technologies developing high speed Integrated Circuits for 40Gbps optical data communications.

  • Then, he joined CEA-Leti research institute, located in Grenoble, France, where he worked on circuit design for image sensors, especially in the infrared domain.
  • He is now at the head of a research group focusing on smart image sensors and micro-displays. This group develops high-performance ICs, innovative architectures, as well as original algorithmic pipelines and frugal Machine-Learning solutions enabling to embed within image sensors advanced readout functions or efficient image processing and recognition capabilities.
