Emmanuel Sabonnadiere brought a
strong technological background and successful business track record to CEA-Leti
in 2017, when he was named CEO. He joined the institute following fours as head
of the Industrial Partners program of CEA Tech. Prior to that, he served as CEO of the Amsterdam-based Business Group
Professional of Philips Lighting and CEO & Chairman of General Cable Europe,
based in Barcelona.

He also was CEO of
NKM Noell at Wurzburg, Germany, and vice president of the Distribution
Transformers division of Alstom T&D. He began his career in 1992 with
Schneider Electric holding various positions, including Managing Director of Development
for Equipment Units. During his 25+ years of executive leadership of large
operations, he produced successful operating results and great team building.
In addition to
acquiring a deep knowledge of European and international business and tech
environments, he gained broad experience in change management in large
multi-cultural matrix organizations where he helped his divisions adapt to new
market conditions. He also designed and set up strategic plans that fostered innovation.
Throughout his career he has promoted operational excellence, technology
innovation, talent management and enthusiasm in leadership. Emmanuel holds a
Ph.D. degree in physics from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, a master’s degree in
electrical engineering from the Université Technologie Compiègne and an MBA
degree from the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires de Grenoble.
