Beyond 5G Communications – The Future of 5G

Monday, October 12, 2020 | 08:30 - 12:30 / 14:00 - 17:10

5G deployment is underway and will bring a multitude of new challenges and opportunities to industry, including launching an era for cyber-physical systems and global connectivity. Both traditional wireless-network stakeholders and verticals such as automotive, smart cities, utilities, and smart industry are already considering broadband and IoT access made possible by new 5G digital services. Indeed, ultra-dense connectivity will be required to ensure sufficient quality-of-service and proximity for the expected increase in users and machines, which also impacts computing and network-node resources.
In this workshop, CEA-Leti will share views and roadmaps for ways to efficiently develop and deploy 5G communications, as well as explore the short-term limits of 5G and what 5G of the future might bring.
