Silicon photonics: towards heterogeneous and multi-layer integration
Silicon photonics technology has definitely reached a first level of maturity with several industrial products and available fabrication supply chains.
Thanks to current innovations with heterogeneous material integration and multi photonic layer stacking, the next generation will represent a new paradigm for designers to address a wider field of applications beyond optical communications. This workshop discusses both fundamentals, tools and applications of silicon photonics.
